I have heard this legend personally, both singing and talking to me. I also know him to be one of the greatest Assamese figure from many. But the biggest liking was planted in my heart towards him is, because of the fact that although being highly educated, sophisticated and studied overseas, he was never detached from his mothherland and its peasants… This is the lesson, I think every Assamese residing outside should learn.
