The Great Assamese - a genious. The Assamese age can be devided in to three period. Sankardeva Period or Mahapurushiya period, Jyoti Prashad period and Bhupen Hazarika period.
If any artist can get Bharat Ratna - it is only Bhupen Hazarika. It is painful why this legend could not get this award. Nobody can match him in such multi dimensional field. Salute to him - he is brilliant everywhere.

I really feel Bhupendra Hajarika got an Eternal Voice which can’t ever be Forgotten,who had atleast heard him at once in a lifetime.The great son of india.I really Appreciate his art of singing.

Its an honour to write about bhupen da, the doyen of music(call it in oxom/India/world. people may disagree but fact remains a fact.
If this great gentleman belonged to any part of India other than North East India, he would have received BHARAT RATNA much earlier.
